A land of festivals, culture is alive and well in the Hérault all year round, through our monuments, museums, theaters, traditions… Between Agde, Cap d’Agde and Grau d’Agde, there’s no shortage of events: festivals, traditional celebrations, concerts, shows, nature walks, markets, meetings, trade fairs…
In short, it’s impossible to get bored during a stay at our campsite in Cap d’Agde.
Nearby markets with local produce
All year round, you’ll find food and clothing markets in Agde, Le Grau d’Agde and Le Cap d’Agde, where you can discover our local produce and the star products of our beautiful region!
In summer, there’s also a night market at Grau d’Agde and La Tamarissière, a must after a quality meal by the sea.

For your children, the town of Agde is full ofactivities to do with the whole family.
Play a game of mini-golf at Dino World in Cap d’Agde, take a tour of the town on the Petit Train, or head to Aqualand for a thrilling ride down the water slides!
In the evening, there are also funfairs in Cap d’Agde, as well as a ride on the Ferris Wheel after an ice cream at the Port du Cap d’Agde.
In other words, Agde is a children’s paradise!
The most beautiful beaches near the campsite
Les Jardins d’Agathe campsite is ideally located.
In thepleasant sunshine of the Hérault region, enjoy a stay with family, friends or as a couple and choose Les Jardins d’Agathe for your camping holiday in Cap d’Agde: you’ll find yourself less than a kilometer from the first beaches. In less than a kilometer, you’ll be able to enjoy pleasant moments of idleness and swimming. Famous beaches are within easy reach of your Cap d’Agde campsite. The most famous and well-known beaches are : La Grande Conque, Richelieu, le Môle, la Tamarissière, Rochelongue, Saint-Vincent and le Grau d’Agde.
Only 5 kilometers separate you from the center of Agde: restaurants, bars and stores are just waiting for you to stroll along the seafront!
The nearest beach to the campsite is 900 m away(15 minutes on foot), the plage des Battuts.
Between Le Grau d’Agde and Le Cap d’Agde, at the end of the Chemin des Dunes, this beach, frequented by local residents, offers a peaceful and pleasant setting…
You’ll find free parking and a lovely stretch of sand where you can spread out your towel in peace.
We also have other beautiful beaches in the vicinity, such as Plage de Rochelongue, Plage de la Conque, Plage de la Roquille…
Each one has its own particularity, so we recommend you put your towel down to discover them and enjoy their uniqueness!
Water sports and activities
In Agde, you can go scuba diving.
You’ll find a wide variety of supervised diving trips for adults and children…
Whether you’re on your own or under professional supervision, come and discover the amazing riches of the Mediterranean seabed. Scuba diving clubs and schools can accompany you on your excursions, whether you’re a beginner or an avid scuba diver. You’ll find a wide range of diving formulas to suit all tastes: baptisms (beach or boat), courses for all levels, exploration, aquatic trekking…
You can also enjoy jet-skiing, towed buoys, sea outings with a captain, an introduction to kitesurfing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding… In Agde, water sports activities are all the rage! Of course, youngsters are not to be outdone:
For older children aged 3 to 6
Discover the joys of sliding. Don’t be afraid, I’ll glide on the water… I’ll go baby skiing, wakeboarding or sailing, just like the grown-ups, and in complete safety!
For the more zen, captain for a day, embark on the Canal du Midi, on a river, lake, pond or sea. Choose your setting, your atmosphere and set off for a ride with your little ones.
In these grandiose landscapes, swimming is a must. And why not enjoy a picnic in this pleasant natural setting while waiting for the sun to set? Play parks and leisure centres are also very popular with children aged 3 to 6, and there’s a wide choice to choose from…
For older children aged 6 to 12
Underwater or on the water? Want to discover the underwater world? What better way to say hello to colorful fish and observe the silent world than with a first dive. An adventure like no other. Or jump and let off steam on the inflatable water courses. And why not float down a river in a bucolic setting, laughter guaranteed.

And don’t forget the canoe, ideal for a good time on the rapids of the Orb, in contemplative or treasure-hunting mode.

Go to the summit to enjoy a unique panorama of the Agde coastline and hinterland: from the town of Agde to the Bagnas National Nature Reserve and, to the north, the Etang de Thau, home to the famous Bouzigues oyster.
Discover the Mont Saint-Loup hike, an ancient volcano, departing from the Cap d’Agde Tourist Office, near the marina.
For a very natural family hike on Mont Saint-Loup, follow the trail to the summit or the “Sentier d’Emilie” forest path. You’ll enter a luxuriant natural environment of Mediterranean essences with the scent of garrigue (pine forests, holm oak maquis, almond trees…) where you’re sure to encounter the wildlife that thrives here (squirrels, cicadas, birds, butterflies…).
